Principal/CEO Jim Fenoughty

Prior to his appointment as Principal of Marcellin  Technical College, Jim had been involved with Catholic Education for over 30 years as a Secondary Physical Education and Maths teacher. More recently, he was Principal of St Brigid’s College, Horsham, Victoria for a period of 6 years.

In 2004, Jim traveled to Belgium to explore models of Catholic Education in a number of European countries. In 2005, he worked for an American International Human Resource company, lectured and tutored in education at Flinders University and worked as a trainer of Frontline Management and Team Development in the Mining and Rural sectors. Jim’s involvement with Industry dates back to his days as a student when he worked as a builder’s labourer part-time for over 10 years.

As Principal, Jim became involved with school-based new apprenticeships and widely promoted VET in schools programmes.  He also coordinated the ‘Doorways to Construction’ programme at Cardijn College, working closely with a group of Year 11 students in the Building and Construction field


Jim has Degrees in Education and Theology and completed his Masters Degree in Education in 2005, writing his thesis on Behaviour Management.
