Marcellin Technical College specializes in vocational education and training and is playing its part in creating employment pathways for young people and addressing the national skills shortage. The College offers students a unique two-year program in Years 11 and 12 working towards securing an apprenticeship or traineeship. The program makes it possible for students to complete their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) by focusing on relevant trade and vocational subjects.

Marcellin Technical College hosts its own Registered Training Organisation (MTC Training) and offers nationally accredited vocational training in the following areas:

• Automotive;
• Carpentry;
• Furniture and Cabinet Making;
• Electrotechnology;
• Mechanical Engineering;
• Metal Fabrication;
• Viticulture (in conjunction with McLaren Vale Grape, Wine and Tourism Association & River Murray Training);
• Animal Studies (in conjunction with TAFE);
• Commercial Cookery (in conjunction with TAFE)

The College works closely with industry, business and government to ensure its courses and programs are relevant.
