How does it work?

HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?

Students come to MTC for Year 11 and Year 12 to complete their secondary schooling. But how does it all work

Your Year 11 and Year 12 studies have been tailored to lead you into your apprenticeship. You’ll do most of your Year 11 and 12 schooling in one year and get that out of the way. That gives you SACE qualifications as a backup. Then you move into your trade education.

Work experience and education  is a chance for you to develop your skills beyond just the technical ones and build up your contacts and networks in your chosen trade.

Try-a -Trade gives you  a chance to test drive different trades,  giving you a taste of individual trades in a work context to understand what actually goes on. If you like it, great! If not, you can always try something else.

Finding an apprenticeship - finding an apprenticeship is something that is your responsibility, but we will assist you.

Then what?

Once you’ve completed Year 12, you complete the final part of your apprentice as a full-time employee and then it’s primarily up to you. Most apprentices stay on and their career takes off!

And that’s where one of the key benefits of studying with Marcellin Technical College kicks in. You’ve now got options for your future

With Year 12 completed and SACE in the bag, you can take on further study, move into TAFE to do a Diploma or head to University. It’s really up to you!
